Nikki Torres

Nikki Torres has been named player of the year. "Nikki Torres, a junior captain, was voted as the Team MVP this season, and earned the honor to be named The Player of the Year. She lead the team in goals and was second on the team in assists from the holding center-midfield position. She was Co-Conference Player of the Year and Region Player of the Year. She was #2 on the All-State list for 1A schools. She was named to the Union County All-Super Team and was captain of the NC PowerAde State Games South Girls Team as well. Nikki is a very versatile player, who could play and contribute on any team in the state. She has a very good first touch, has good ball control and skills, has excellent field vision, is a very strong defender, has a high soccer IQ and is physically capable of playing every minute of every game at a high level. She is an excellent leader, both on and off the field. She works hard in training, pushes her teammates to work hard and competes well in matches. Nikki is an excellent overall player."
