The Union Area Scotties will be home for the holidays to greet the Blackhawk Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Union Area had to start their season on the road on December 2nd, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a serious blow against Upper St. Clair, falling 60-24.
Meanwhile, Blackhawk waltzed into their game Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Mars 49-32.
Blackhawk can attribute much of their success to Aubree Hupp, who scored 15 points, and Alena Fusetti, who scored 18 points along with four steals. The matchup was Hupp's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Kinger, who scored seven points.
Union Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Blackhawk, their victory was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
