The Brentwood School Eagles will challenge the Covina Colts at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brentwood School sitting on eight straight wins and Covina on four.
Brentwood School is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Trinity Classical Academy get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Jack Kaplan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Michael Ba was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Owen Boelke, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
Brentwood School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Covina was able to grind out a solid win over Lakewood on Tuesday, taking the game 6-1. That's two games straight that the Colts have won by exactly five runs.
The team relied heavily on Lucas Thorpe, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Magdaleno, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brentwood School's victory bumped their record up to 19-7-1. As for Covina, their win bumped their record up to 15-13-1.
