of the Week awards during the 2023-24 school year.
Each week during the season (regular and
post), there will be a fan-generated contest to
tab weekly winners. Each winner receives a
digital award patch for their MaxPreps player page.
How does it
work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many
times as they want. It's a competition.
Last week over 235,000 votes were cast! So far
this
school year over 6-million votes have been cast.

BasketballJunior had 20 points, 12 steals, seven
assists and six rebounds in a 65-42 win over Northern Cambria and 24
points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 66-30 win
over Ferndale. Averaging 17.9 points, 5.6 steals, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4
assists.

BasketballSophomore had 28 points, five rebounds and
four steals in a 71-45 win over Minersville and 27 points, five assists
and three rebounds in an 80-40 win over Our Lady of Lourdes Regional.
Averaging 23.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
* Ava Persichetti, River Valley (Blairsville) Girls
BasketballJunior had 23 points, seven rebounds, five
assists, five steals and three blocks in a 62-24 win over Conemaugh
Valley. Also had 24 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists
in a 52-42 win over Cambria Heights. Averaging 21.5 points, 6.6
rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.2 steals.

WrestlingSophomore went 5-0 at the Brookville
Ultimate Duals at 114 pounds to improve to 29-0 this season. Won his
five matches via major decision (11-0), pin (0:53), major decision
(18-4), pin (0:41) and pin (1:53).

Senior surpassed 1,000-career points in a 63-41 win over Pine Grove. He is the 13th player in program history to achieve the feat.
* Bryce Nicholson, Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence) Boys Basketball
Junior dropped 52 points in a 95-47 win over Ferndale to surpass 1,000-career points. Averaging 27.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 4.5 assists.
* Ty Keffer, Southmoreland (Alverton) Boys Basketball
Senior hit 10 3-pointers and scored 43 points in a 72-56 win over Valley.

Senior surpassed 1,500-career points with 51 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists, five blocks and four steals in an 82-77 loss to Mohawk Area. Averaging 26.4 points, 14.9 points, 6.3 assists, 2.6 blocks and 2.1 steals.

Senior had 43 points in a 78-73 win over TECHFC. Also had 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in a 53-50 win over Parkway West. Averaging 19.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists.

Scored 90 points in a win over Mastery Charter Hardy Williams and losses to Mastery Charter South and George Washington. Averaging 25.1 points.

season.
