The MaxPreps Underclass All-America Softball Team recognizes and celebrates exceptional young talent that made an impact on their high school teams during the 2024-2025 school year.
This distinguished team comprises 30 outstanding sophomores and freshmen who put up remarkable numbers all season long.
The selection process weighed various factors, including statistics submitted to MaxPreps, local and national honors, coach nominations and team achievement.
First Team Hutton Adrian, Melissa (Texas)
Catcher | Class of 2027In a lineup full of sluggers, the sophomore ended up with a .604 average, which led the team. She also hit 17 home runs.
Baylor Bockhaus, Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.)
Infielder | Class of 2028Put on a show with 25 home runs and 89 RBI. As an eighth grader in 2024, she hit 15 bombs.
Ally Compton, Munster (Ind.)
Utility | Class of 2027No sophomore slump for the do-it-all player. She blasted 19 home runs and finished with a .559 OBP. She also mowed down 160 batters in the circle.
Hannah DeMarcus, Pace (Fla.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Pitched in 175 innings, struck out 418 batters, allowed just eight earned runs and limited opponents to a .070 average.
Angie Falls, Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027The right-handed ace, who also added power at the plate, guided her squad to a second-straight state title.
Mikayla Finn, Del Oro (Loomis, Calif.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027The lefty was a major reason the Golden Eagles can make a case as one of the top teams in California and the country. Finn finished 21-1 on the rubber with 210 Ks.
Brielle Gardiner, Ridgeline (Millville, Utah)
Pitcher | Class of 2027The hard-throwing ace and power hitter will be one of the most sought-after recruits heading into her junior year. She can pump 70 MPH in the circle and hits moon shots at the plate.
Hope Gaudio, Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, Texas)
Infielder | Class of 2027Tallied 45 extra-base hits and 18 home runs while batting .696 with a .739 OBP.
Leighton Gray, Norco (Calif.)
Infielder | Class of 2027Another star in the making for the Cougars, the sophomore hit .435 with eight jacks.
Eloisa Maes, Melissa (Texas)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Stepped in as the team's ace this season and never looked back. She finished 31-1 and struck out 238 batters.
Hunter Quentel, Kingwood (Texas)
Pitcher | Class of 2027The ace and top hitter for the Mustangs shined in the biggest moments all season leading her team to a state title. She struck out 177 and batted .458 with 16 home runs.
Ivee Rastatter, Kenton Ridge (Springfield, Ohio)
Pitcher | Class of 2028Incredible on both sides of the ball for the Division IV state champions, who went 32-0. At the dish, she hit .667 and blasted five home runs. In the circle, she finished 28-0 with a 0.74 ERA and mowed down 210 batters.
Malie Satete, West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, N.M.)
Utility | Class of 2028One of the most feared power hitters in the country, she batted .700 and blasted 22 home runs despite being walked 28 times.
Coral Williams, Norco (Calif.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027MaxPreps California Player of the Year went 17-0 in the circle with a 0.59 ERA, 147 punch-outs and a playoff run capped with a one-hit shutout in the championship.
Infielder | Class of 2027Another big bat in the lineup for the national champions, batted .569 with 19 home runs and only struck out four times in 142 plate appearances.
Second TeamLayna Ayala, Melbourne (Fla.)
Catcher | Class of 2027A beast behind the plate who does major damage at the dish. She hit .495 and blasted 16 home runs.
Niayli Calvo, Vanden (Fairfield, Calif.)
Infielder | Class of 2027An eye-popping .710 batting average during her sophomore campaign. She was a big reason the Vikings captured a Division 3 section title.
J.J. Davis, Kenton Ridge (Springfield, Ohio)
Infielder | Class of 2027Davis had 70 hits this season for the undefeated state champs. She also hit 13 home runs and drove in 69 runs.
Addison DeRoche, Cheverus (Portland, Maine)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Causes trouble for opposing teams on both sides of the ball. She went undefeated in the circle and also hit .535 at the plate.
Pitcher | Class of 2027Played her high school ball in the fall and put up incredible numbers, including striking out 336 batters.
Kailyn Mire, Sam Houston (Lake Charles, La.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Instrumental in helping the Broncos bring home a Division 1 Non-Select state title.
Parker Malone, Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, Texas)
Infielder | Class of 2027Malone led all sophomores nationally with 23 home runs while driving in 87 runs and batting .626.
Ainsley Morvan, Logansport (La.)
Utility | Class of 2028Finished third nationally among freshmen with 21 bombs. The young star in the making only struck on twice in 131 plate appearances.
Skiely Perry, Curry (Jasper, Ala.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Struck out 280 batters in 170 innings of work, finishing 33-1 overall.
Peyton Philipp, Midway (Waco, Texas)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Helped the Panthers bring home a state title for the first time since 2010, striking out 11 in the championship game.
Ava Phillips, Rosary Academy (Fullerton, Calif.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Finished 20-3 with a 1.37 ERA while striking out 114 batters this spring.
Arri Romero, Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, Calif.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027Romero was a workhorse for the SoCal Division 1 champs. She finished 24-4 in the circle and also batted .424 at the plate.
Utility | Class of 2028Fab frosh was a big bat in the lineup and did all her team could ask for in the circle. She was instrumental in helping deliver the school's first state championship, batting over .400 with seven home runs while also piling up 177 strikeouts.
Loren Sivils, Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.)
Infielder | Class of 2027Hit 12 home runs, piled up 48 hits and drove in 56 runs for one of the top teams in the country.
Soleil Tate, Marist (Chicago, Ill.)
Pitcher | Class of 2027A threat wherever she was on the field. In the box, she batted .446 with nine bombs. She also finished 17-3 in the circle with a 0.80 ERA.
