It’s hard to top the high school career of
Hannah Wells. Dominant in the circle and nearly unstoppable at the plate, she led
Coahoma to an unprecedented state championship three-peat in Texas.
Now, the Texas signee is adding one final major accolade to her resume adds another major accolade — 2025 MaxPreps National Player of the Year.
Wells led the nation with 31 home runs while batting .602. In the circle, she was just as dominant with a 22-1 record, 258 strikeouts and a 0.49 ERA. She leaves Coahoma as one of the most decorated players in Texas history.
The 2025 MaxPreps All-America Team recognizes 85 of the top high school softball players in the country, in addition to Wells. Selections are based on a combination of verified statistics submitted to MaxPreps, individual performance and overall team success.

Pitcher | Class of 2025 | Florida StateLed her squad to a perfect season capped with a Class 5A state title. The MaxPreps Virginia Player of the Year struck out 171 batters with a 0.67 ERA.

Pitcher | Class of 2026 | NorthwesternOver the past three seasons, Goodwin is 55-1 with a 0.38 ERA with 785 strikeouts. The MaxPreps Arizona Player of the Year is also batting .500 for her career, helping Desert Mountain three-peat this spring.
