Football Recap: Texico Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Texico won the last time they faced Jal and Cross Figg did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wolverines simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Panthers 49-0 for which the team can thank Figg, who rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 153 yards and three TDs on only ten passes. His longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards.

Texico is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.5 points over those games. As for Jal, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Texico is set to challenge their familiar foe Loving at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jal will take on rival Tularosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
