Taylor County came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Fayette County Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Taylor County's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fayette County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Taylor County will take on Midtown in a tournament on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Fayette County, they will challenge LaGrange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
