Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) is the new No. 1 team in the nation in the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings, after last week's No.1 St. Rita (Chicago) lost to Providence Catholic (New Lennox, Ill.) for its first loss of the season. Parkview has steadily risen up the rankings after winning 18 games in a row.
Parkview opened the Georgia Class 6A state playoffs with a pair of wins over Mill Creek. Last year, the Panthers lost to Lambert in the semifinals of the state playoffs -- Lambert went on to win the state title and began the 2015 season as the No. 1 team in the country.
St. Rita drops to No. 8 with the loss while Olympia (Orlando, Fla.), which had been No. 1 most of the season prior to losing its first game of the season two weeks ago, moves up to No. 2 and Dallas Jesuit (Texas) comes in at No. 3.
MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings
1. (last week 2) Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.), 26-2
The Panthers move into the No. 1 spot thanks to an 18-game win streak that includes two wins over Mill Creek in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs. In a 10-0 win,
Ryne Inman tossed a six-inning perfect game with nine strikeouts.
Jason Awtrey helped out with a home run and he also drove in two runs in a 3-1 win in the second game.
2. (3) Olympia (Orlando, Fla.), 26-1
The Titans rebounded from the loss to Apopka by edging Dr. Phillips 3-1 in the first round of the class 8A playoffs.
Juan Hillman went 5 1/3 innings and struck out six for the win.
3. (4) Dallas Jesuit, 25-1-2

The Rangers completed district play with an 8-0, 5-3 sweep of Turner (Carrollton, Texas).
Kyle Muller had a home run in the shutout win while
Nic Ready had a pair of doubles in the 5-3 victory.
4. (5) Park Vista (Lake Worth, Fla.), 26-2
Austin Smith pitched a complete-game 5-0 shutout of Palm Beach Gardens to put Park Vista into a second round matchup with Boca Raton. The Cobras have beaten Boca Raton two of the three times the two teams played, but lost last week's game for the district championship.
5. (6) Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), 26-2
Nick Brueser hit a home run and
Cameron Cruz hit a grand slam to lift Hamilton to a 10-6 win over Perry in the Huskies' only game last week.
6. (7) Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), 21-1
Luken Baker went five innings and struck out eight and he also had a pair of home runs and three RBIs to lift Oak Ridge over Summer Creek 6-1.
7. (8) Alexander (Laredo, Texas), 22-1
The Bulldogs won a pair of games last week, beating Eagle Pass 8-2 and United (Laredo) 6-2 in district play.
8. (1) St. Rita (Chicago), 25-1
St. Rita won three games last week, but suffered its first loss of the season with a 6-4 defeat at the hands of Providence Catholic (New Lennox, Ill.). St. Rita also beat Providence Catholic 7-5 and topped Loyola Academy 7-2 and 8-3.
9. (10) Sulphur (La.), 33-2
The Tornadoes opened the Class 5A state playoffs with a 10-0 win over Walker and then a sweep of Ouachita Parish, 8-0 and 12-1.
Kale Breaux struck out 10 against Walker and
Austin Nelson had a home run. Nelson also had a home run in the 12-1 win.
10. (11) Flower Mound (Texas), 24-3
The Jaguars finished district play undefeated at 16-0 with a 9-1 win over Plano West.
11. (12) College Park (Pleasant Hill, Calif.), 16-3
The College Park offense has been on fire of late, posting five straight blowout wins. In a 20-2 win over Ygnacio Valley,
Josh Nelson was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. In a 15-2 win over Berean Christian,
Joe DeMers was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and six RBIs. In a 17-0 win over Ygnacio Valley, DeMers nearly pitched his fourth no-hitter of the season, giving up one hit with 10 strikeouts. He also went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
12. (13) Mosley (Lynn Haven, Fla.), 25-3
Scott Sapp scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to give Mosley a 1-0 win over Wakulla in the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs.
Dillon Brown singled to drive in the run.
13. (14) Boca Raton (Fla.), 23-2
Michael Amditis hit a two-run homer and
Mitchell Senger went six innings to get a 3-1 win over Jupiter. Boca Raton faces Park Vista in the second round of the Class 8A playoffs this week. It will be the fourth meeting between the two teams this year.
14. (18) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 24-2
Matt Hudgins went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 6-5 win over Palo Verde (Las Vegas), In a 14-4 win over Legacy (North Las Vegas),
Beau Capanna had a triple and a home run while
Austin Cram had a double and a triple.
15. (19) O'Connor (Helotes, Texas), 19-0-1
The Panthers remained undefeated with a 7-0 win over Stevens (San Antonio) and a 3-2 win over Brennan (San Antonio).
Gavin Johnson threw a complete-game no-hitter and struck out eight in a the win over Stevens while
Kolby Lunsford had a game-winning home run in a the win over Brennan.
16. (20) Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.), 27-2
Canyon del Oro completed the regular season by blanking Palo Verde 13-0 and topping Catalina Foothills 11-1.
17. (21) Oxford (Miss.), 29-0
Jason Barber had 11 strikeouts and gave up two hits in a 2-0 win over Center Hill in the first game of Oxford's first round matchup in the Class 5A state playoffs.
Grae Kessinger went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and five RBIs in a 7-1 win over Center Hill to complete the series sweep.
18. (9) JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), 20-4
After defeating St. John Bosco three times in Trinity League play last week, 6-3, 6-0 and 6-3, the Lions fell to Saint Francis (Mountain View, Calif.) 3-2 in the finals of the Boras Baseball Classic.
19. (22) Puyallup (Wash.), 17-3
Herbie Good was 3-for-3 with two RBIs,
Zach Needham was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and
Ryan Peterson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 10-0 win over Spanaway Lake. Needham had two doubles while Good, Peterson,
C.J. Krippaehne and
Tristan Cleek each had one.
20. (23) Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.), 19-3
Matt Thomas knocked in three runs on three hits to lead the Wolverines to a 9-1 win over San Marcos in Harvard-Westlake's only game last week.
21. (24) Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), 17-1
The Warriors won their 12th in a row by beating Amherst 4-3 to capture the Pipe Yard Classic.
22. (28) Farragut (Knoxville, Tenn.), 31-5
The Admirals had four pitchers combine for a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over Christian Academy of Knoxville last week with
Patrick Raby going three of those innings for the win. Three Farragut pitchers combined for a 1-hitter in an 11-0 win over Lenoir City and Raby went six innings and struck out 13 in a 6-0 win over Maryville.
23. (29) South Caldwell (Hudson, N.C.), 21-0
South Caldwell racked up four wins last week to remain undefeated on the season. It beat St. Stephens 10-0, Hickory 5-1, Foard 12-1 and Watauga 3-2.
24. (30) San Dimas (Calif.), 24-0
The Saints posted two shutouts during the week, beating Covina 4-0 and 10-0.
Jacob Castillo struck out 10 while giving up six hits in the 4-0 win while
Peter Lambert allowed just one hit and struck out seven in the 10-0 win.
25. (25) Winter Haven (Fla.), 24-3
Rouglas Odor drove in a pair of runs without getting a hit while
Brant Howell went 3-for-3 in Winter Haven's 4-3 playoff win over Edgewater. The Blue Devils will play Eau Gallie in the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs this week.
The Next 25Saint Francis took home the Boras Baseball Classic title on Saturday.

26. (16) Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati), 18-2
After defeating La Salle (Cincinnati) 1-0 earlier in the week, Archbishop Moeller fell to La Salle 5-2. The Crusaders also defeated Oak Hills 11-1 and Conner 14-5 during the week.
27. (33) Buford (Ga.), 26-2
Buford moved into the second round of the Class 4A state playoffs with a 10-0, 8-1 sweep of Heritage.
28. (34) Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, Texas), 22-3
Rockwall Heath holds down the No. 1 ranking in Class 5A by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association after a 6-4 win over Royse City and a 10-0 win over South Garland.
29. (35) Whitewater (Fayetteville, Ga.), 23-4
Whitewater advanced to the second round of the Class 4A playoffs with a 15-2, 2-1 sweep of Chamblee.
30. (36) St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), 21-4
The Raiders won their first round game in the Class 7A playoffs with a 10-0 victory over Westland Hialeah.
31. (37) Northwest Rankin (Brandon, Miss.), 26-2
Northwest Rankin opened the Class 6A playoffs with a 6-5, 5-1 sweep of Olive Branch.
32. (40) Indianapolis Cathedral, 16-0
Cathedral won four times last week, beating Greenfield-Central 9-0, New Palestine 12-2, Lawrence North 5-1 and Pike 13-0.
33. (41) Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), 16-1
The Ironmen continue to hang on to the No. 1 ranking in New Jersey after defeating St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) 4-1 and Xaverian Brothers 3-1.
34. (15) Summerville (S.C.), 23-3
The Green Wave opened the district playoffs with a 7-5 win over Stratford, but lost to Sumter 1-0 in the semifinals.
35. (26) Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.), 24-4
Buchanan split its Tri-Rivers Athletic Conference games with Clovis, winning 5-3 and losing 5-3.
36. (44) College Station (Texas), 21-6-1
College Station picked up a pair of wins last week, beating Livingston 10-2 and Caney Creek 11-1.
37. (46) Agoura (Calif.), 19-3
Agoura won its only game last week, topping Westlake 9-1 in league play.
38. (47) Edwardsville (Ill.), 23-1
Edwardsville won four times last week, beating Wesclin 7-4, Alton 4-0, East St. Louis 13-1 and Lutheran South 8-4.
39. (48) Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.), 36-4
Catholic advanced to the third round of the Louisiana Class 5A state playoffs with a 9-5, 6-4 sweep of Holy Cross. In the first round, Catholic topped Alexandria 13-3.
40. (49) Fayetteville (Ark.), 23-3
The Purple Dogs picked up three wins last week, sweeping Southside (Fort Smith, Ark.) 9-2 and 5-3 and topping Benton (Ark.) 8-5.
41. (27) Pearland (Texas), 23-4-1
Pearland had another tough outing, falling to Manvel 4-3 in its only game last week.
42. (32) Reagan (San Antonio), 25-3
Reagan picked up a key 15-3 win over Calallen (Corpus Christi, Texas) and also defeated Lee (San Antonio) 7-4; however, Reagan fell to MacArthur (San Antonio) 5-4.
43. (38) Topsail (Hampstead, N.C.), 21-2
After defeating Laney 10-5, Topsail lost its second game of the season with a 6-5 defeat at the hands of New Hanover.
44. (39) Providence (Charlotte, N.C.), 20-2
The Patriots suffered just their second loss of the season, falling to Charlotte Catholic 3-2. Providence also defeated South Mecklenburg earlier in the week, 4-3.
45. (42) Dana Hills (Dana Point, Calif.), 22-5
The Dolphins split two games with Aliso Niguel, winning 5-1 before falling 3-2.
46. (50) San Clemente (Calif.), 19-6
The Tritons bounced back from two losses to Dana Hills by beating Laguna Hills in straight games, 1-0 and 11-1.
47. (NR) Walton (Marietta, Ga.), 24-3
Advanced to the second round of the Class 6A playoffs with a 6-4, 11-1 sweep of South Forsyth (Cumming, Ga.).
48. (NR) Venice (Fla.), 25-3
Advanced to the second round of the Florida Class 6A playoffs with a 4-2 win over Barron Collier (Naples, Fla.)
49. (NR) Saint Francis (Mountain View, Calif.), 20-5
Defeated JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) 3-2 to win the Boras Baseball Classic.
