After spotlighting the top teams in high school basketball with the release of our National Top 10 rankings last week, it's time to shift the focus to the best players in the country.

MaxPreps National Junior of the Year averaged 22.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest to help the Explorers (28-5) capture their third consecutive Class 7A state championship and No. 2 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Following a strong individual season that saw him average 24 points, six rebounds and four assists per game, Peterson earned third team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors in his lone season at Huntington Prep. The five-star prospect is expected to be the catalyst for a talented Crew unit.

Five-star prospect averaged 24.1 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.7 steals per outing to help the Eagles (29-7) reach the Grind Session tournament championship game. Dream City Christian begins the season ranked No. 10 in the National Top 10 behind Alozie.

High-scoring guard has compiled 1,971 points through his first two seasons and set the Division IV state title game record with 44 points in 2023-24. Arenas averaged 33.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest to earn first team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors.

Following a major rise in the Class of 2025 player rankings, the top 10 prospect is expected to be a key contributor for the top-ranked team in the Preseason National Top 10. Cenac averaged 13.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game at Newman (New Orleans, La.) last season.

First team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America selection averaged 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.4 assists per game to lead Buckhorn (New Market, Ala.) to their second straight Class 6A state title. Holt joins the defending state champion in Georgia's highest classification.

Top 20 prospect piled up 32.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.1 assists per game to help the Knights (31-4) earn a spot in the top 50 of the national rankings. Yessoufou has scored 2.816 points in 97 career games coming into his senior campaign.

Top 10 prospect averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest through six Nike EYBL Scholastic contest before going down with a season-ending injury last season. Harwell looks to return to form this season after a lengthy absence from the court.

strong junior campaign saw the four-star senior tally 19.2 points, 8.5
rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 68 percent from the
field to help the Pioneers (27-4) reach the Class 7A state championship
game and end the year ranked No. 7 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Named Oklahoma MaxPreps Player of the Year as a sophomore after guiding the Rams (26-4) to their first state championship in program history. Montonati averaged 23.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game and scored 34 points in the Class 6A title game.

Helped guide the Warhawks (36-2) to the Sweet 16 state semifinals, averaging 16.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.7 blocks and 2.2 assists per outing. Great Crossing has a challenging schedule this season that includes trips to the City of Palms Classic and Beach Ball Classic.
