The Kiski Area Cavaliers lost against the Mars Fightin' Planets back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kiski Area was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Mars. Kiski Area has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Vita Vargo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mars, scoring 29 points along with four steals. Vargo continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alexis Cashdollar was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Kiski Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mars, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Kiski Area will be home for the holidays to greet Indiana at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Indiana is ranked 86th, while Kiski Area is ranked 111th). Mars will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Baldwin at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th.
