Corner Canyon had a 20-0 lead before Nate Ritchie rushed for a score in the fourth quarter for the Lone Peak (4-10), which earlier forfeited several wins for using an ineligible player.
The teams met earlier in the season at Corner Canyon with the Chargers barely pulling out a 21-17 victory. This game was much different. It was the
MaxPreps Game of the Week.
Hagen's favorite target Friday was
Talmage Handley, who had just three catches but for 146 yards and two scores. The two connected on an 80-yard touchdown on the game's first drive to give the Chargers a 6-0 lead.
The score remained that way until Hagen connected on a 7-yard TD pass to
John Glavine late in the first half, to make it 13-0. That's all the points Corner Canyon needed.
