East Moline United is 6-1 against Sherrard since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. East Moline United knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Sherrard likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, East Moline United needed a bit of extra time to put away Rockridge. They beat the Rockets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-6. East Moline United's win was all the more impressive since the Rockets were averaging only 4.03 runs allowed on the season.

Zach Darras was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. East Moline United is undefeated when Darras allows one or fewer earned runs, but 11-13 otherwise. Darras was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 13 matchups.
In other pitching news, East Moline United got a great performance from Isaac Roman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Roman has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Will Risius was incredible, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Payton Welge, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Sherrard didn't have quite enough to beat Annawan-Wethersfield on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sherrard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolby Butz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
East Moline United is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Sherrard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
Everything went East Moline United's way against Sherrard in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as East Moline United made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
