Kamron Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, Zander Andersen was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mason Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Righetti by a score of 9-6.
The team relied heavily on Santana Covarrubias, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Eli Hendricks was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
St. Joseph hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.
Righetti's record is now 17-11. As for St. Joseph, their record now sits at 22-5-1.
