The Stratford Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to  face off against the George Walton Academy Bulldogs  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Stratford Academy will be strutting in after a  victory while George Walton Academy will be coming in after a  defeat.
While Stratford Academy's  win against Brentwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Stratford Academy narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Brentwood  6-4. The  win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
 Jaxen Justice made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. What's more,  he gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  stolen bases.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jett Johnston, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  three  doubles gave  him a new career-high.  Brayden Fritz also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Meanwhile, George Walton Academy lost  12-1 to Piedmont Academy on Thursday.
 George Walton Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mac Maughon, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2. Maughon has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 George Walton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stratford Academy,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
Stratford Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's   game. Stratford Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 2.8  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for George Walton Academy, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.8  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Stratford Academy continue to outrun the ball?
 Stratford Academy suffered a grim  11-3 defeat to George Walton Academy  when the teams last played  back in February of 2024. Can Stratford Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
