The Desert Scorpions will head out on the road to square off against the Parlier Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Desert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Desert came up short against Rosamond and fell 38-29.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Destiny Hart, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Gamboa, who scored six points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Parlier had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-23 win over Yosemite.
Desert's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for Parlier, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
