Morgan Park has gone a perfect 3-0 against Leo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will welcome the Lions at 4:30 p.m. Morgan Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Morgan Park came out on top against Chicago Hope Academy on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Mustangs walked away with a 7-3 victory over Chicago Hope Academy.
Keenan Harrell looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Morgan Park: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 9-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Gabriel Ramirez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miguel Villegas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Leo can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game last Saturday. They never let IC Catholic Prep get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The game marked the Lions' most dominant victory of the season.
Derrick Davis III was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Davis III was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyle Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Tyshawn Brown was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The win got Morgan Park back to even at 14-14. As for Leo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-21.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Morgan Park has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Leo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Morgan Park skirted past Leo 8-6 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
