Meanwhile, Coastal Academy made easy work of Hoover on Tuesday and carried off a 13-5 victory. Considering the Stingrays have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Coastal Academy got a massive performance out of Samuel McCoy, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Jenkins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Canyon Hills' record is now 24-7. As for Coastal Academy, their record now sits at 22-7.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Canyon Hills has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Coastal Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
