Gering is a perfect 10-0 against Alliance since August of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Gering will head out on the road to face off against Alliance. Gering is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Gering's tournament run continued when they took on Lakeview on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4.

On the hitting side, Jaleigh Bohac made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Alliance entered their tilt with Lexington on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Minutemen get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23rd (when they won 16-1).
Regan Cornish made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Cornish was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Alivia Osborn was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. Kaiya Hudson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Alliance always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lexington only posted an OBP of .267.
Alliance's record is now 10-16. As for Gering, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.
Alliance's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gering has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Alliance, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Gering's sizable advantage in that area, Alliance will need to find a way to close that gap.
Gering took their victory against Alliance in their previous meeting last Saturday by a conclusive 20-1 score. Does Gering have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alliance turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
