The Vaughn White Tigers entered their tilt with the Triumph Charter Jaguars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Vaughn blew past Triumph Charter 54-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Vaughn also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Andrea Cervantes, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals. The match was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yamileth Ferreira, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals.
Vaughn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-13. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Triumph Charter, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Vaughn will be playing at home against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Triumph Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Community Charter at 3:00 p.m. on January 10th. Community Charter's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Triumph Charter's offense will have their work cut out for Triumph Charter.
