It was a good run, but the West Valley Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 68-55 to Foothill. West Valley has struggled against Foothill recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
West Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emily Nolan, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Nolan scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Lexi Peters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Foothill, scoring 28 points along with six assists and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Peters has scored at least a third of Foothill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaymes Arnold, who scored 13 points.
West Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for Foothill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
