The Trinity Classical Academy Knights will square off against the Brentwood School Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Trinity Classical Academy comes in on eight and Brentwood School on seven.
Trinity Classical Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out El Rancho 7-6.
Trinity Classical Academy let Ezra Bly and Aiden Visconti run wild. Bly went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI, while Visconti went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Visconti has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Fallansbee, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Brentwood School won against Ontario on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles beat Foothill Tech by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-7.
Logan Serpa tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Owen Boelke was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jack Kaplan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Brentwood School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .311 or higher in five consecutive games.
Brentwood School's victory bumped their record up to 18-7-1. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Trinity Classical Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brentwood School struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs.
