A total of 86 teams still have hopes of continuing their season, but that number will be whittled down to 20 when the CIF meets on Sunday to determine the teams that will compete in the CIF State Regional Bowl Games.
Fourteen section champions have already been crowned, but 72 other teams will vie this weekend to at least earn a shot at being selected. The regional games will be played Dec. 13 and 14 and the state bowl games will be played Dec. 20 and 21 at the StubHub Center in Carson.
Only three of last year's bowl winners are still competing. They include Open Division champion De La Salle (Concord), Division II champion Serra (Gardena) and Division IV champion Central Catholic (Modesto).
Based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, these bowl rankings will continue each week until all section playoffs have ended.
