The Laguna Beach Breakers will square off against the Moorpark Musketeers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Laguna Beach 3.4, Moorpark 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Laguna Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Woodbridge. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Breakers.
Dylan Yencho was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jacob Wicker, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Laguna Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Moorpark sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Monrovia on Tuesday.
TANNER STOTTS made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Moorpark let BLAKE GUY and DIEGO MAGANA run wild. GUY went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double, while MAGANA went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ MAI, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Laguna Beach's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Moorpark, their win bumped their record up to 21-9.
