Notre Dame (8-3) slipped past Oaks Christian (Westlake Village), 28-27, for an opening-round win in the Pac-5 playoffs that was its fourth-straight victory overall. The Knights dodged a bullet when Oaks Christian nearly tied the game with less than two minutes left in regulation. The Lions scored a touchdown to make the score 28-27, but failed on the point-after attempt that would have possibly sent the game into overtime.
