The Wasco Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Immanuel Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wasco is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Wasco is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Hanford West as they made off with a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Damian Santos was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Santos was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Wasco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanford West only posted a batting average of .190.
Meanwhile, Immanuel had just enough and edged out Arvin 7-6 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.
Like Wasco, Immanuel also got a great game from a two-way player: Julian Ornelas. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.2 innings pitched. Ornelas also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Immanuel is 7-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Ornelas was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Seth Thomas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Bryan Garabedian, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
Wasco's record now sits at 21-5. As for Immanuel, their record is now 16-12.
Wasco suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Immanuel in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
