This season hasn't been kind to the Pottstown Trojans, who are still winless after their eighth match. They took a 44-27 bruising from Upper Perkiomen on Thursday. Pottstown lost against Upper Perkiomen in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-20 score last time.
Erin States was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points for Upper Perkiomen. The match was States' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Kearney, who scored 11 points.
Pottstown bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Upper Perkiomen, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.
Pottstown will head out on the road to face off against Renaissance Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Renaissance Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Upper Perkiomen, they will be playing at home against Phoenixville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
