The Oroville Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Weed on the road and fell 50-22. While losing is never fun, Oroville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1006th, while Weed is ranked 146th).
Oroville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leila Jackson, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Jackson scored a full 36.4% of Oroville's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Amira Herrera, who scored eight points.
