The Red Lion Lions fought the good fight in their overtime  contest against the Waynesboro Indians  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of  54-51. Red Lion was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Waynesboro apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in December of 2022.
 Red Lion's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Reagan Smith, who  scored 13 points along with 9  rebounds and 3  steals.  Julia Sedora was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points along with 6  rebounds and 3  steals.
 Red Lion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Waynesboro, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Lion is on the road again  on Tuesday and play against Central York at 7:00  p.m.  on December 12th. As for Waynesboro, they will  challenge West Perry at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. West Perry will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
