Reedley and Immanuel are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Pirates will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Reedley sitting on three straight victories and Immanuel on four.
Reedley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Golden West get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Austin Rodriguez's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Immanuel ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Wasco 8-7. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.
Julian Ornelas made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Immanuel is 8-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Ornelas was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Ornelas wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Logan Osborne, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave Osborne a new career-high. Jax Davidson was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Reedley's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Immanuel, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.
Everything went Reedley's way against Immanuel in their previous meeting back in April, as Reedley made off with a 9-2 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
