The Charleroi Cougars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Ringgold 56-25 at home. That 56-25 margin sets a new team best for Charleroi this season.
Among those leading the charge was Addison Conrad, who scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Riley Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
The victory got Charleroi back to even at 5-5. As for Ringgold, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleroi will take on South Park at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Charleroi in Pennsylvania (South Park is ranked 151st, while Charleroi is ranked 385th). As for Ringgold, they will be playing at home against Uniontown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
