Sebastian Lawrence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Glendora is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 10-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Santiago Garza was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Laguna Beach sidestepped Grand Terrace for a 2-1 win.
Laguna Beach also got a great performance from Branson Wade as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Wade has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Laguna Beach saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Adams, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Laguna Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Glendora's record now sits at 19-11. As for Laguna Beach, their record is now 20-11.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Glendora has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Laguna Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
