Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Concord). They blew past the Ygnacio Valley Wolves, posting  a  54-8 victory. Considering the Bears have won four matchups by more than 26  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Juan Gonzalez continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 195 yards and four  touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.  Emmanuel Owens helped  Gonzalez out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and one  TD.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Concord's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Isaiah Singleton and  Alonso Sanchez-Bliss, who racked up all five sacks between them. Sanchez-Bliss also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with six.
Concord is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Ygnacio Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Concord will take on Berean Christian at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The Bears will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.71  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ygnacio Valley, they will square off against Mt. Diablo at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
