Needles had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Yerington Lions on Thursday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 16 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Holden Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Gabe Rodriquez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
