Verdigris never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Colcord Hornets 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Verdigris pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Colcord, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
