MaxPreps Top 25 high school football scores: No. 1 St. John Bosco remain undefeated wtih 42-0 victory, take on Mater Dei next week

No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) played another near perfect game by defeating Servite 42-0. Defensively, this is the fourth shutout of the season for the Braves.

Sophomore Koa Malau'ulu threw three touchdown passes and ran for another. Malau'ulu now has 30 scoring strikes in 2025.

No. 12 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) gets back in the win column after a 40-7 win over JSerra Catholic. The Monarchs scored five rushing touchdowns and senior Massachusetts commit Justin Lewis ran three of them into the end zone. 

St. John Bosco will play Mater Dei next week.

No. 4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) improved to 8-0 with an impressive 38-14 win over East St. Louis (Ill.) on Saturday. The Ascenders have two games remaining on their schedule with matchups against Hun (Princeton, N.J.) and No. 2 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore).

No. 15 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) scored a touchdown in overtime to defeat St. John's (Washington, District of Columbia) 23-20 and remain undefeated.

St. John’s made a field goal to score first in overtime. Then DeMatha drove inside the five on its possession and scored on an Elijah Lee touchdown drive to win.

DeMatha went up 9-0 early as junior quarterback Tristan Sabb found senior Joshua Parker for a touchdown.

St. John’s then scored 17 unanswered points as juniors Tyric Powell and Dajon Talley Rhodes both recorded rushing touchdowns. 

Down 17-9 DeMatha tied up the game as Sabb ran the ball into the end zone, and then completed the two-point conversion to send the game to overtime. The Stags move to 8-0 with the win.

Junior defensive back Dean Gibson had four rushing touchdowns as No. 5 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) topped Norco (Calif.) 59-49 on Thursday night.

Gibson came into the game with three career touchdowns and scored his fourth touchdown of the night from 50 yards out in the fourth quarter, giving the Huskies a 56-49 lead.

Centennial senior quarterback Dominick Catalano passed for a touchdown and ran for two more as the Huskies improve to 8-1.

Junior Julian Julian Medina lit it up for Norco (6-3) and threw six touchdown passes, three of them went to junior four-star Blake Wong.

Medina now has 34 touchdowns on the season and 20 of them have gone to Wong.

No. 17 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) shutout Cardinal Gibbons 47-0 on Friday. Four-star Texas commit Derrek Cooper rushed for three touchdowns and freshman quarterback Malik Leonard threw a trio of scores. 

No. 14 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) hung on to beat American Heritage 19-12. The Raiders made four field goals and scored on defense when senior Adras Donovan returned a fumble for a touchdown.

St. Thomas Aquinas will host Chaminade-Madonna in the MaxPreps Game of the Week on Halloween.

No. 21 Cass Tech (Detroit, Mich.) cruised to a 61-0 win over Bedford on Friday. 

Sophomore five-star quarterback Donald Tabron II threw four touchdowns. Senior four-star wide receiver Corey Sadler Jr. hauled in two touchdown receptions and also rushed for a score as the Technicians finish the regular season 9-0.

No. 22 Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) took down Ensworth 35-21 as five-star junior David Gabriel Georges ran for three touchdowns.

Ensworth took a 14-0 lead before the star Baylor running back scored three straight touchdowns to take a 21-14 lead. Louisville pledge Briggs Cherry then hit Tennessee commit Jamyan Theodore on two touchdown passes to extend the lead to 35-21. Theodore also had an interception. 

Hamilton (Chandler) upset No. 18 Basha (Chandler) 28-12. Four-star sophomore Roye Oliver III had two receiving touchdowns and a punt return score as the Huskies remain undefeated.

No. 11 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) topped Orange Lutheran (Orange) 28-7. Dash Fifita and Ryan Carpenter each turned a takeaway into a touchdown as the Eagles move to 6-3.
