The Salinas Cowboys lost against the Christopher Cougars back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Salinas took a serious blow against Christopher, falling 70-33. Salinas was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Payton Edwards,
Mikayla Nicks, and
Alice Uchida posted five points each.
Salinas' loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Christopher, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salinas will take on Soquel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christopher, they will head out on the road to face off against Hollister at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
