Baseball Recap: Hercules Wins Going Away Against Kennedy

While Hercules put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Kennedy. Hercules was the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Kennedy. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

David Silva Jr. made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Hercules' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-6-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Jason Kao was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Melgoza, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Hercules' record is now 5-6-1. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hercules will head out to take on Saint Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will venture away from home to challenge Swett at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
