Alliance extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 6-13. They lost 20-1 to Gering. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Gering this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat last Saturday.
As for Gering, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Considering they have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
For Gering's part, Danae Savala made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Savala has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
