Lincoln Northeast came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Lincoln High Links with a sharp 18-0 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Rockets brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Dezi Swenson was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Brenna Stephen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Lincoln Northeast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln High only posted an OBP of .100.

Lincoln Northeast's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Lincoln High, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Lincoln Northeast has already played their next game, a 12-5 loss against Elkhorn South on the 29th. As for Lincoln High, they will host Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Links' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Discoverers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
