South Tahoe is 7-0 against Hug since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South Tahoe Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Hug Hawks at 6:00 p.m. South Tahoe will be strutting in after a victory while Hug will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, South Tahoe gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Truckee 60-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory South Tahoe has posted since December 27, 2023.
Campbell Mathews continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Wolfe, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Hug lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by North Valleys 65-16. Hug has struggled against North Valleys recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
South Tahoe is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Hug, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything came up roses for South Tahoe against Hug in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the team secured a 60-16 victory. Will South Tahoe repeat their success, or does Hug have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
