In Friday's league match, the host South Tahoe Vikings basketball team scored a decisive 54-13 triumph over the Hug Hawks.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the North Valleys Panthers (Reno, NV) in a 3A Northern - West match, on Wednesday, January 31. South Tahoe will attempt to move on its 13-8 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 16-5 record after their 67-8 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV).
