Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.)
begins the 2026 high school softball season with the longest active win streak in the nation at 75 games but the Knights have several challengers ready to take over the top spot should they falter.
Oxbow (Bradford, Vt.)
is just 10 games back of Bishop O'Connell with 65 wins in a row,
Taunton (Mass.)
has 57 straight wins and
Neshannock (New Castle, Pa.)
has 52.
Betting against Bishop O'Connell is likely a fool's errand. The Knights have been one of the most consistent programs in the nation, winning 13 straight WCAC championships and 39 straight playoff games.
Callie Lissenden helped Bishop O'Connell extend its national-best win streak to 75 games last spring, batting .403 with 25 hits and 21 RBI in 20 games. (PHOTO: Danny La)
Two of the nation's longest win streaks have fallen over the past two years
Kaukauna (Wis.)
saw its 108-game win streak end two years ago in the state playoffs against
Milton
. The Ghosts fell four games short of tying the national record for consecutive wins of 112 by
Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, La.)
from 1980-83.
Kaukauna is back on track with 28 straight wins and a state championship last year. The Ghosts have a record of 136-1 over the past five seasons.
Last year,
Coahoma (Texas)
had its 90-game win streak end in the state playoffs but rebounded from the loss with two straight wins and a state championship.
All teams from the MaxPreps database that had 10 straight wins or more are listed below along with the longest active streak in each state. Streaks for Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma are from the recently-completed 2025 fall season.
