When you are a 5-foot-6 point guard who likes to drive to the basket, you have to get creative in your shot-making ability. Thus Atrisco Heritage's Joziah Ramos is a Picasso when it comes to scoring the basketball.
With an ability to hang in the air and adjust his shot to avoid the outstretched hands of the defender, the 5-6 Ramos has proven to be one of the most potent scorers in New Mexico the past two seasons despite also being one of the shortest.
He led Atrisco Heritage to a state championship as a junior while averaging 24 points per game. In four seasons on the varsity, Ramos has scored 1,949 points.
Ramos is the 2019-20 Suddenlink New Mexico Player of the Year and leads a group of 15 players separated into three teams.

Sam Henderson, Sandia Prep (Albuquerque)

was one of the top scorers for a Sandia Prep team that was ranked No. 1
for most of the year. He led Sandia Prep to the Class 3A state finals,
where it lost to Bosque.

Jude Tapia, Albuquerque

rebounds in the championship game. He was one of the state's top scorers
