High school photos of Cape Cod Baseball League All-Stars

The historic Cape Cod Baseball League is the most prestigious and well-known college summer league in the country.

The league gives prospects who either weren't drafted or elected not to sign with major league organizations out of high school an opportunity to prove to scouts what they can do with wood bats against the best of the best.

Saturday marks the Friendly's Cape League All-Star Game, which features the top 50 players in the 10-team league, selected by the league managers.

Being selected as a Cape League All-Star is quite an honor, but winning the game's MVP award seems to be an even stronger predictor of a career beyond college. Recent winners include current MLB players Chris Sale, Aaron Crow, Josh Satin, Sam Fuld and Mark Teixeira.
