Video: Top 10 Games of the WeekJudson (Converse, Texas) at Steele (Cibolo, Texas)
Friday, 7:30 p.m. Central timeWhy it's big: Friday night's winner is virtually a lock to claim at least a share of the District 25-6A championship.
Judson (7-0) has already clinched its state-record 39th-consecutive winning season and now would like to get its first win ever against Steele. The Rockets are 0-5 since the series began in 2010.
Steele (8-0) is tracking toward its eighth season out of nine with double-digit victories. Nationally ranked Allen and Katy are the only Texas 6A teams with more wins than the Knights since 2011.
Names to watch: Texas A&M commit
Alton Robinson and fellow senior linebacker
Shane Calvin lead a Judson defense that allows only 16 points per game – a pretty miniscule number in the current spread offense era of Texas prep football.
Steele is limiting opponents to an even more impressive 12.5 points per game and has held four opponents to a touchdown or less. Leading the way is Texas A&M-bound defensive end
Mark Jackson, who has six sacks and 13 tackles for loss this season.
