The number of former professional athletes turned high school volleyball dads continues to grow.
Excelling on the court can be difficult, even more so carrying a famous last name as the daughter, sister or niece of a current or former professional athlete or celebrity.
But these current players have found a way to make their own name with impressive stat lines, championships and national rankings.
Brother: Patrick Baldwin Jr. Also a Hamilton grad, he was drafted in the first round by Golden State and played for five NBA teams including the Sacramento Kings most recently.
Daughter: The sophomore has 310 serve receptions, 233 kills and 153 digs on the season for the Chargers.
Father: Patrick Barnes. Starred at quarterback for Cal, throwing for 3,499 yards and 31 touchdowns in 1996. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the fourth round in 1997 and he later played in NFL Europe, the XFL and the CFL.
Daughter: The Northwestern commit is closing in on 1,000 career kills with 210 this season for the Sailors.
Father: Mike Bibby. The former NBA point guard spent time with six teams including the Sacramento Kings and is in his first season as head coach for Sacramento State.
Daughter: Like her father, Nylah headed to Arizona and has 158 kills this season for the Sabercats. She is approaching 1,000 career kills and has also tallied 162 serve receptions, 120 digs and 33 aces.
Brother: Jeremiah Byers. An offensive tackle who joined the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2025, signed with the Cleveland Browns but was waived in August.
Sister: The Chaparrals are 30-8 behind a team-high 291 kills from Byers-Veal. She is approaching 1,000 career kills.
Father: Dave Canales. Hired as the Carolina Panthers head coach in 2024, he led the team to the NFC South title last year.
Daughter: The setter has 229 assists on the year in 17 matches.
Father: Brian Cardinal. "'The Custodian" played 12 NBA seasons with six teams, winning a championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011.
Daughter: The 6-foot-2 middle is pacing the Golden Eagles with 216 kills and 37 blocks. An Iowa commit, Cardinal is nearing 750 career kills and 200 blocks.
Father: Jorge Campos. One of Mexico’s most recognizable goalkeepers known for his acrobatic saves, colorful uniforms and occasional appearances as a striker. He starred for clubs in Mexico and helped launch the LA Galaxy, earning MLS All-Star selections in 1996 and 1997.
Daughter: Was poised to have a breakout season as Marymount's libero before an ACL injury ended her season.
Father: Tyson Chandler. A 2011 NBA champion, Chandler spent 19 seasons in the league with eight teams.
Daughter: The Eagles are No. 6 in the MaxPreps Top 25 thanks in part to Chandler's presence in the middle.
Father: Randall Cunningham. One of the original dual-threat quarterbacks, Cunningham played 11 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and made four Pro Bowls.
Daughter: A freshman on the Gorman junior varsity squad.
Father: Erick Dampier. A two-time high school state champion in Mississippi, he was the 10th overall pick in 1996 by Indiana out of Mississippi State and played 16 seasons in the NBA.
Daughter: As a 5-foot-10 eighth grader, the youngest Dampier daughter has posted 99 kills and 67 blocks for the Patriots.
Father: Eric Dawson. Played professionally in the NBA G League and overseas, with a brief NBA stint for the San Antonio Spurs. He now serves as an assistant coach for player development with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Daughter: The Cal commit has been an integral part of Cornerstone's rise to No. 3 in the MaxPreps Top 25.
Father: Donald Driver. Spent his entire 14-year NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, making four Pro Bowls, winning Super Bowl XLV and retiring as the franchise leader in catches and receiving yards.
Daughter: The freshman outside is leading the team in kills with 177 (2.5 per set).
Father: Jamie Foxx. The actor, singer and comedian won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in "Ray" as well as a Grammy for "Blame It" with T-Pain.
Daughter: No stats were available for the middle blocker.
Father: Akbar Gbajabiamila. Played defensive end and linebacker for the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins after attending San Diego State. He later became a television host, best known for co-hosting "American Ninja Warrior."
Daughter: The 6-1 middle has 12 kills and 11 blocks on the year as the Mustangs are 11-4 and heading to the Nike Tournament of Champions this week.
Cousin: Trace Jackson-Davis. Was drafted 57th overall in 2023 by the Golden State Warriors and now plays for the Toronto Raptors.
Cousin: The sophomore leads the Trojans with 347 kills (4.6 per set) after dropping 410 kills as a freshman.
Father: Jared Jeffries. The 11th pick in the 2002 NBA Draft played 11 years for the Wizards, Knicks, Rockets and Blazers, scoring 3,003 points in his career.
Daughter: Tennessee commit was a Preseason MaxPreps All-American and is second on the team in kills with 192 in 70 sets.
Father: Avery Jukes. A forward on Butler’s 2009-10 team that reached the NCAA championship game, he scored 10 points against Duke in the final.
Daughter: A 6-foot sophomore, Jukes has 66 kills in 36 sets for the No. 22 Mighty Macs. She leads McAuley in blocks with 61.
Father: Nate Livings. A national champion with LSU in 2003, he played offensive guard for the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys, starting all 32 games for Cincinnati across the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
Daughter: The senior is third on the team with 201 kills in 60 sets after missing part of the season playing for USA Volleyball. The LSU commit approaching 500 career kills.

Daughter: The youngest of the four daughters (oldest sister Jadyn is playing at SMU), the junior has 87 kills this season with 45 blocks and 40 digs.

Daughter: Naomi's twin sister, Nyla has 132 kills, one of four Prestonwood players with more than 100. The Lions are 32-4 this season. She is also heading to Baton Rouge with Naomi.
Father: Peyton Manning. A five-time NFL MVP, he won two Super Bowls during an 18-year career with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
Daughter: The sophomore is tops in kills for the Sun Devils with 113 in 40 sets.
Mother: Sarah (Northway) Maria. Played on UConn's first national championship basketball team in 1995.
Daughter: The 6-2 setter/right side has 363 assists for the 20-0 Knights, who are among the national bracket field at the Nike TOC this weekend.
Father: Ruvel Martin. Played wide receiver for the Packers, Rams, Seahawks and Bills, catching 76 passes for 1,129 yards and seven touchdowns in 82 NFL games.
Daughter: The team leader in kills with 216, Martin is nearing 1,500 for her career.
Amina McDyess, Episcopal (Bellaire, Texas)Father: Antonio McDyess. Played 16 NBA seasons and earned an All-Star selection in 2001 while helping the Detroit Pistons reach the 2005 NBA Finals.
Daughter: The 6-2 freshman middle has helped the Knights to a 20-7 mark, though no stats have been posted on MaxPreps.
Father: Willie McGinest. The three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots spent 12 seasons in the NFL finishing his career in Cleveland.
Daughter: The 6-foot outside hitter leads the Trailblazers with 226 kills. Headed to Texas Tech, McGinest has 1,147 career kills. Older sisters Halie and Rylie played collegiate volleyball as well.
Father: Reinout Oerlemans. A Dutch television producer and filmmaker who co-founded Eyeworks, built it into an international production company and sold it to Warner Bros. in 2014.
Mother: Daniëlle (Overgaag) Oerlemans. A former Dutch cyclist who won two stages of the Tour de l’Aude and finished second in the Dutch national road race in 1993 and time trial in 1994.
Daughter: A Stanford beach volleyball commit, Oerlemans is a 6-2 middle for the Sailors with 176 kills on the season. She had 580 career kills along with 200 career blocks.
Father: Elliott Sadler. Won three NASCAR Cup Series races and 13 Xfinity Series races during a career that spanned more than two decades.
Daughter: Two-sport athlete who also plays softball.
Uncle: Kris Wilson. Pitched in 95 Major League games for the Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees, compiling a 14-9 record, 5.44 ERA and 142 strikeouts.
Niece: The Warriors are 17-0 and No. 14 in the MaxPreps Top 25 as the sophomore has 130 kills on the year.
Father: LaDanian Tomlinson. Rushed for 13,684 yards and 145 touchdowns over 11 NFL seasons with the Chargers and Jets. He won the 2006 MVP award and entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
Daughter: Limited stats are available for the freshman but in 12 sets reported she has 25 kills for the Owls, who won the Southwest Prep 3A title last season.
Grandfather: Pat Toomey. Played defensive end for 10 NFL seasons, winning Super Bowl VI with the Dallas Cowboys and later playing for the Bills, Buccaneers and Raiders.
Daughter: The Colorado commit has been a bright spot for a team wracked with injuries.
Amy Utecht, Lakeville South (Lakeville, Minn.) Father: Ben Utecht. Played tight end for the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals, winning Super Bowl XLI with the Colts.
Daughter: The sophomore has 153 assists and 14 aces for the 14-0 Cougars.

Daughter: Sophomore libero has a team-high 152 digs along with 29 aces and 19 blocks.
Father: Vince Vaughn. One of his generation's top comedic actors, he broke through with his performance in "Swingers." He played high school football and wrestled at
Lake Forest (Ill.).
Daughter: The sophomore helped the junior varsity team to a Dave Mohs Tournament JV gold title.
Sahmone Wadsworth, Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.)Father: Andre Wadsworth. The No. 3 pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, he played three seasons at defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals.
Daughter: The 5-11 sophomore is leading the Gators with 168 kills on the season.
Father: Shelden Williams. The nine-year NBA veteran was the fifth overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft out of Duke by the Atlanta Hawks.
Mother: Candace Parker. Regarded as one of the greatest WNBA players of all-time.
Daughter: Third on the team with 79 kills as Campbell Hall is 16-4 this year.
Father: Troy Williamson. Played five NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Daughter: The 5-11 sophomore has helped the War Eagles to a 16-4 mark this season with 89 kills in 42 sets.
Shaye Witherspoon, Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.)
Father: Will Witherspoon. Former NFL linebacker. Mother Rebecca is a
former standout Division I volleyball player at Georgia.
Daughter: Out indefinitely while recovering from knee surgery but has remained a part of the team.
