Sometimes the rankings don't lie. Second-ranked Ryan helped to prove that point Thursday night with a 41-3 over previously unbeaten Wakeland as
Seth Henigan accounted for 290 yards and four touchdown passes.
Both teams came in unbeaten — Wakeland held a 153-37 scoring edge after four straight victories — but Ryan, more battle tested with a stiffer schedule, dominated from start to finish.
According to the
Dallas Morning News, Texas-bound
Bill Bowman Jr. added 159 total yards and four touchdowns, two rushing and two receiving. He had nine catches for 95 yards from Henigan, who completed 18 of 29 passes for 281 yards.
Ke'Ori Hicks also rushed for 95 yards on eight carries for the Wolverines, who improved to 4-0.
Ryan has already posted impressive tough wins over ranked squads — No. 6 Martin (47-24) and No. 5 Guyer (23-20).
