The semifinals of the California Interscholastic Federation
Regional boys and girls basketball tournament are Saturday. All games
begin at 6 p.m. unless at sites of doubleheaders, where second games are
at 8 p.m.
The Southern Section has the most teams still alive going into the round with 14, followed by the Sac-Joaquin (seven), San Diego, Central Coast and North Coast (six), Central (five), Los Angeles (two) and Oakland and Northern (one).
The winners of Saturday's games face off Tuesday in the semifinals at home sites.
The winners in each of six
divisions meet to crown state champions March 11-12 at Golden 1 Center
in Sacramento. The championships were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
