In the history of high school girls basketball in Texas during the 5-on-5 era, only 14 players have scored over 60 points in a game. Over the course of 40 days during the 2025-26 season,
Adaleigh Knight of
Raymondville (Texas) did it three times.
Knight opened her scoring spree Dec. 2 when she scored a national-best 72 points in a 91-12 win over Idea Sports Park. Two weeks later, the 5-foot-11 senior scored 67 points in a 100-6 win over Idea Weslaco Pike. After the winter break, she went for 60 again against Idea Sports Park on Jan. 13. She nearly added a fourth 60-point game Jan. 20, finishing with 59.
Those performances are among the highlights in our look at all the players from the 2025-26 season that scored 50 points or more. Knight owns four of the top 14 performances and is the only player with three games over 60 points.

America Cazares of Arizona had back-to-back 60-point games in January. The senior guard averaged 33.6 points per game this season and piled up nearly 3,000 career points. (PHOTO: Chris Hook)
In Texas, Knight is only the second player in state history to score over 60 points three times. Only Adrian McGowan of
Goodrich, the state's all-time leading scorer, has more 60-point games with 14 from 2003-06.
Mia McGregor of
Mio-Au Sable (Mio, Mich.), the nation's leading scorer at 43.4 points per game, appears seven times on the 50-point list.
Averie Zinn of
Genesee (Mich.), the nation's second-leading scorer at 39.3 points per game, makes the list five times while
Kev'iya Parrish of
Western Hills (Cincinnati, Ohio), the third-leading scorer, appears four times.
Kaleena Smith of
Ontario Christian (Ontario, Calif.), the MaxPreps National Player of the Year, had a 51-point game and a 50-point outing while
Tori Oehrlein of
Crosby-Ironton (Crosby, Minn.), the Small Town National Player of the Year, has five 50-point performances.
Knight is not alone at the top of the list.
Da'Mya Wilson of
Barton (Lexa, Ark.) broke the state record for scoring in a single game when she tossed in 72 points Feb. 3. The previous record of 71 points, held by Angela Davenport of Hartman, had stood since 1979.
